Description:

Identify training priorities for the different sectors ( smallholder farmers, PO’s, University graduats, ATS studnets, operators, packhouse managers, service providers and logistics companies) in vegetable production practices and for the project value chains through field visits to farmers in Upper Egypt.
Identify training priorities for the different sectors (smallholder farmers, PO’s, University graduates, ATS studnets, operators, packhouse managers, serviceproviders and logistics companies) in production good agriculture practices through meetings that involve related parties.

Curriculum development
Develop an optimum Agriculture Mechanization training program directed to different sectors that describes the best practices via a comprehensive program that include all handling stages starting from selection of land up to reaching harvest.
Developing a ToT curriculum for the local master trainers and university graduates so the project has the same message to be delivered to farmers and other sectors.

Farmers’ capacity building
Assess technical training needs of the ERAS Project farmers and training staff; and provide training to ERAS local trainers in each governorate to ensure that they are capable of effectively implementing the project interventions in their governorates.

Farmers Follow up Visits
Assess implementation of training recommendations.
Identify and resolve any field issue as requested by PPH lead.
Supervise and assess the local trainers’ and technical assistance performance.

DELIVERABLES:
Written report on results of training needs assessment;
Field ToT Curriculum that includes:
Clear description of training program outcomes
Identification of core competencies that must be strengthened in order for outcomes to be achieved. When relevant, core competencies should be differentiated by levels of mastery to help show progression in development efforts.
Detailed training session plans that address each core competency. A core competency may be addressed by multiple training sessions. Each training session description should include learning objectives, session schedule, necessary materials and a written description of each element of the ToT session.
Agriculture Mechanization program directed to small farmers for the project value chains with detailed description of best practices of every stage.
Qualifications:

Experience implementing training of trainers.
Advance relevant degree
At least 10 years of related experience in Agriculture Mechanization.
Previous work experience in development project with small farmers is preferable.
Experience developing training programs/curriculums.
