Purpose.
The executive designer designs and ensures AUC branding policies are implemented in office-produced designs, a Position ID as well as proofing projects by other offices. The jobholder is also works closely with print shop and outside vendors to ensure quality of products that reflect on AUCs image and branding. Design projects for print or online marketing and dissemination. The main function of the job is to provide design services for the universitys printed publications, Web site and high-quality marketing materials that reflect the universitys branding and positioning in both print and on the Web.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Work on and collaborate with editor/proofreader, a web specialist and design manager, in design, development and production of all creative print and web media of materials aimed at promoting or publicizing the University or any of its schools, departments, centers, or offices in a manner that preserves and promotes the Universitys brand and is aligned with its marketing vision and goals.
- Design publications in line with AUC branding and marketing messages to better portray the University
- Occasional work on special projects that originate from the Universitys Administration that aim at improving the Universitys image and/or increase awareness of its brand such as donor impact reports, annual presidents report look and feel, digital media implements, etc.,
- Review and approve smaller / low key print and web publications of projects created by external content producers to ensure compliance with university branding.
- Meet with representative of the different schools, departments, centers and offices, along with client-relations manager, and help understand project and the specifics of the design requirements.
- Update and upload more branded merchandise on the CafePress - the AUC online store for branded merchandise
