Purpose: The purpose of this position is to have a senior caliber who can build and maintain AUC business continuity/resilience process and activities. The position will lead the execution and implementation of the business continuity/resilience plan and activities. It will lead the preparation on the plans, testing them
Principal Accountabilities:
o Create and build business resilience/continuity plan for the university functions.
o Lead development, documentation, and post-action item tracking of the business resilience/continuity programs activities.
o Responsible for the execution trigger and follow up in case of disasters with the CTO and IT leads
o Execute business impact analysis.
o Conduct business resilience/continuity threat and risk assessments
o Maintain an inventory of the impact to business processes and/or functions, depicting the financial and intangible impacts.
o Create a priority of recovery inventory by either business process and IT Systems and measure recovery capabilities.
o Conduct an analysis of functional dependencies, recovery requirements and develop a detailed description of all business resilience/continuity needs based on the strategic direction and risk tolerance.
o Enhance business resilience/continuity templates, facilitate exercises with business units, identify gaps, and report results.
o Lead the development, approval, and ongoing maintenance of departmental business resilience/continuity plans and procedures.
o Provide awareness, education, communication, and training to all levels of leadership, on all aspects of business resilience/continuity and disaster recovery lifecycles.
