Purpose
Assist in the management of the Medical Department by examining patients and following up with them, being on call in case of emergencies, providing relevant workshops/ presentations of AUC community upon request, and providing medical care services to AUC patients
Principal Accountabilities:
- Providing medical continuous care to patients requiring routine, emergency care and treatment
- Provision of medical treatment for all patients at the AUC Clinic.
- Granting medical excuses to students whenever need
- Meeting medical representatives
- Referring patients to other external health care providers as appropriate
- Providing services in support of health promotion and preventive medicine
- Supervising clinic nurses
- Maintaining appropriate medical records of patients seen
- Following -up with chronic patients
- Providing first aid training sessions to different categories of AUC community upon request
- Attending commencements as a physician on call for emergencies (upon request)
- Serving as a physician on call
- Performing other related duties as required by the position or as assigned
- Following-up (phone and visits) on hospital admission cases of students at Salam Hospital
- Giving orientation to the new comers including faculty and their families and international students as well.
