Abt Associates (Abt) seeks qualified Chief of Party for the anticipated USAID-funded project based in Egypt. The project aims to increase prosperity in Egypt by supporting greater inclusion in and transparency of Egypts economic governance systems. This Activity will support local domestic reforms in Egypt to increase the accountability and efficiency of public institutions, as well as improve the Government of Egypts ability to efficiently provide services at reduced costs to international and domestic investors and average citizens. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Provides strategic direction, technical and management leadership to produce project results Serves as the projects key liaison with USAID, government counterparts, and local partners/stakeholders Provides leadership and technical support specifically for project staff and subcontractors Supervise the projects technical assistance team to ensure a focus on core results, achievements of annual work plan and targets, and timely/effective implementation Collaboratively creates and implements a strategic, long-term programmatic vision Monitors the progress and pace of project implementation, assuring that the full potential of the program is realized through the promotion of high quality work and internal control Identify obstacles and risks related to implementation in a timely manner and implement strategies to overcome them Exercise sound financial management skills including effective project spending Uphold Abts standards to lead a high performing team; ensure strict compliance to USAID and Abts policies, regulations and internal controls Guide the learning agenda for the project, use lessons learned to modify project approaches and strategies, and disseminate findings
