Purpose. The alumni communication is responsible for setting strategies and implementing social media tools for all alumni activities and annual fund programs. The job holder is responsible for the management of content of alumni /social media channels to developing brand awareness; designing and creating social media campaigns and increasing the visibility of the all alumni activities and annual fund programs in different social media platforms in line with the Universitys messages, vision and mission.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manages alumni social media accounts and ensures accounts are updated on a daily basis and that messaging is timely and relevant. Creates and manages content in light of social medias need for 24 hour cycle.
- Develops the social media plan of the alumni activities, services and fund programs and the parameters for the social media strategy: determine objectives; establish what needs to be accomplished and define how it will be done. (Increase likes, reach, engagement and leads). Becomes an advocate of the alumni office in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
- Analyzes trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
- Writes, creates and disseminates appropriate content (photos, videos and stories) across all social media platforms in coordination with the Communication office
- Manages social media campaigns and day-to-day activities
- Observes effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results- Work with content team (communication Office) to ensure integration and synergy between the alumni social media presence and website
