Purpose
The Executive Director designs and delivers superior services in terms of events management, food services, mail services, transportation and faculty housing in addition to managing all supporting operational policies, procedures and processes; while creating efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Establishes and implement short� and long�
-range departmental goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effect changes required for improvement.
- Develops and administers the annual departmental budget. Conduct periodic reviews of budgetary practices and financial issues aimed at ensuring accountability and adherence to fiscally sound best business practices.
- Collects and analyzes departmental data and compiles reports needed for long-range planning.
- Participates in contract negotiations as required to ensure quality services are provided to the University community as efficiently as possible.
- Participates in emergency management planning, response and recovery by devising, maintaining and providing parking and transportation emergency support functions.
- Maximizes efficiencies of event operations to insure the successful coordination of assigned events on campus premises.
- Leads the strategic operations plans of food services across campuses and university properties.
- leads the faculty housing operations, overview of housing occupancy, housing technology initiatives, all housing facilities and develops short- and long-range renewal and replacement schedules and capital plans in coordination with facilities management.
- Leads the transportation services on all campuses, maintains a professional relationship with contractual transportation vendor. Ensures quality service for all riders by developing policies, procedures, plans and program.
